Meet Michael Hutt, LPC - Couples/Marriage Counselor

I’ve been a therapist since 2010. I am also a certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT). Even before graduating, I knew I wanted to specialize in working with couples. From the very beginning, I have sought out and received specialized supervision for couples counseling. When I’m not seeing couples, I love working with individuals who want to better understand their emotions and relationships.

For most of my career, I practiced in Arizona. In 2025, my wife and I decided we were ready for a change and relocated to the Pacific Northwest. I am currently licensed in Arizona (LPC-15415) and Oregon (C10066).

Before becoming a therapist, I spent a decade working as an engineer. That experience instilled in me the importance of structure, clarity, and curiosity. I bring these traits into my work with clients. I use compassionate curiosity to better understand each client’s internal world. My goal is to help partners feel seen, heard, and supported as they find their way back to one another.
